About our Logo

The symbol of the hummingbird and a flower was taken from an Aztec Glyph. This symbol represents our strength, heritage and vision.

In Aztec myth, the hummingbird represents a warrior named Huitzil, who led them to a new homeland. This famous hero's full name was Huitzilopochtli, which means "hummingbird from the left." The "left" is the deep south, the location of the spirit world.

Another widespread belief is that hummingbirds are messengers between worlds. As such they help medicine people keep nature and spirit in balance. This is a strong symbol in disguise because although the hummingbird is small in stature, it is extremely determined and symbolizes devotion, permanence and eternity.
