Dear hermanas y hermanos,
I have no words to express how grateful I am for all the support we received for our CLF 35th Anniversary celebration. And what a celebration it was! For those of you who attended, I hope you agree with me that Sandra Cisneros was magnificent, Favianna Rodriguez was spectacular and our students were, as always, the shining stars of the evening!
We feel so blessed to have had such a gathering of old veteranos y veteranas, young activists, artists, corporate partners, community leaders, educators and students.
With 830 people in attendance, it was our biggest Annual Dinner yet.
So as we continue to celebrate and reflect on CLF's past 35 years and the next 35 to come, we invite you to continue being part of our Comadre network; to help us analyze where we have been, our accomplishments and landmarks, and to help us envision how we maintain and enhance our key programs and expand to new ones. Soon you will receive a short survey asking for your thoughts on the work of Chicana Latina Foundation and how to best continue servicing our community.
On behalf of our staff, board and our amazing scholarship awardees, I thank you and wish you and your loved ones much love and peace during these holidays.
