With the creation of the Broadband Awareness and Adoption Project, CLF has been conducting educational campaigns in low income communities to increase the number of computer users and internet subscribers. 700 households now have computers and high-speed internet connection. The grant is part of a proposal presented by the California Emerging Technology Fund, funded by the National Telecommunications and Information Agency.
